We receive memos under are door from time to time. I have no problem with this as it lets me know what is going on in the apartment building. I just have a problem with some of it's contents. Actually it's not even what she says, but how she says it.

For example she has a problem with people throwing personal trash away in the laundry room instead of walking outside to the dumpsters. Yes this is a problem and not fair on other tenets. But she added "People are so disrespectful here it's unreal"

Next she is complaining about people throwing trash in the hall ways, again a real problem. But this is what she says after, "The tv in the hallway wow seriously your that lazy".

I find these things offensive and she should be more professional. So should I call the corporate office of our apartment building on her, or just let it go? This is not the first time things of this nature have been in a memo.

It may not meet your professional standards, but that doesn't mean it will not meet someone elses professional standards. They are a value judgement and each person has a different quality of standards. I would let it go and just chalk it up to someone with low standards.

While you may find the wording offensive highly doubt corporate would hold the same view, should other words have been used maybe but the quotes you have posted are not over the top offensive in itself plus once you make a complaint the PM will be watching you even closer maybe thinking you are the one leaving the trash

I agree with both my peers----I have managers that react differently then I would--but they get the job done so I am happy,, The best way to deal with her is to try to correct whatever problem she is dealing with----say you are sorry for the situation---it takes two to argue---and cooler heads win the argument by not feeding into bullshit.

It is better to remain silent and thought stupid than to open your mouth and remove all doubt. This is a case of "silence is golden."
