You still have not paid rent?

This issue is not hers, it is yours.

You need to pay the rent now, or later with the late fee.

Unless you have the receipt from your money order you have no way of proving you paid it at all. So yes you owe a late fee. If you don't pay it they will simply deduct it from the rent payment you make and then you will still owe money.Thats how we do. Just like NSF checks, once they come back the rent is considered late and the fee is impossed.

Everytime ive been given the ...I put it in the drop box story ,it has turned out to be far from the case. Don't expect sympathy or anything else from the manager.

Do you have your receipt from the money order? If so, that will be your proof. Then you can get the money order company to stop payment on the lost one. If it has been cashed, then you need to get a copy of the front and back of it so you can prove to her that she cashed it. If not, then they can refund your money to you. Either way, you may have to pay the rent again but your receipt should keep you from having to pay late fees.

since you can't prove she doesn't have it (remember the wmd story, not finding them doesn't prove they aren't there), you have ot pay her o time and then takeyour receipt for the lost one and get a refund, unless it gets cashed, then you need to get proof of that and show her that...
